She’s bitchy, ballsy and brash.
She’s Tabatha, and she’s taking over.
I might be a little late to the party, but I’ve just discovered “Tabatha’s Salon Takeover,” and I’m hooked.
Tabatha Coffey is almost the complete opposite of me in every respect. And yet, there is something extraordinarily compelling about watching her crack heads together in the name of saving a failing business. Watching her, I know there is something for me to learn. There’s definitely a homeopathic dose of Tabatha that would make a difference in my business, and maybe yours as well.
For some of us, putting ourselves in a situation where we have to reveal our dreams, fears and triumphs to our peers is taking a huge risk, even if we value the learning that might result. It’s incredibly important to feel safe if we’re going to share what we usually keep inside, especially regarding our entrepreneurial aspirations. In today’s podcast, Cheri Ruskus of Victory Circles introduces us to a tool – the mastermind process – that provides a powerful way to create that safety so that you can make meaningful connections with others while strengthening your business.
Are you making the most of your LinkedIn profile? Or did you set it up ages ago and have to blow the dust off the URL each time you come back? I’ve decided to make 2012 “The Year of LinkedIn.” LinkedIn is a fabulous treasure trove of connections and resources. I thought for the longest time that it was primarily for job seekers. My guest for this podcast, Matt Youngquist of Career Horizons (http://www.career-horizons.com), sets me straight on that point. He shares ways that both the seeker and the entrepreneur can leverage LinkedIn for stronger relationships and stronger businesses.

It can, however, become overwhelming and sometimes take over our valuable business development time. My guest for this podcast shares insights as to how introverts can leverage social media and navigate the constantly changing landscape.
I know from numerous conversations that lots of you have a book inside, waiting to come out. But you might not be sure how to get started, or which path – traditional or self-publishing – is right for you. There’s a lot of information out there, but much of it is far from neutral. This podcast interview with Toni V. Martin gives us some solid advice for considering which path is right for you, and in particular, how to move forward if you decide to self-publish.
